Driver Deactivation & Appeals Policy
Version 1.3 · Effective August 17, 2026
When and why Shipr may suspend or deactivate a Driver, the notice you receive, and how to appeal — including a 14-day appeal window, independent review of every decision, and a full audit trail of each account-state change.
1. About this Policy
This Policy explains how and why Shipr LLC ("Shipr," "we," "us," or "our") may suspend or deactivate a Driver's access to the Shipr platform (the "Platform"), the notice you will receive, and how you can appeal a decision. It applies to all Drivers who use the Platform.
Our goal is to keep the Platform safe and reliable for Drivers, Shippers, and recipients while treating Drivers fairly. We aim to act only on clear grounds, to tell you why, and to give you a meaningful opportunity to respond.
We use two terms throughout. A "suspension" is a temporary pause on your access while we review an issue; you cannot accept new delivery offers during a suspension. A "deactivation" is the permanent end of your access to the Platform.
2. Grounds for Suspension or Deactivation
We may suspend or deactivate a Driver for conduct or circumstances that put safety, trust, or service quality at risk, including:
- Safety violations — unsafe or reckless driving, threats or harm to others, or any conduct that endangers recipients, the public, or other users of the Platform;
- Fraud or theft — misrepresenting deliveries, manipulating fares, incentives, or ratings, tampering with or stealing packages, or other dishonest conduct;
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows — cancelling accepted offers or failing to appear for scheduled pickups at a rate substantially higher than the platform norm;
- Poor service performance — a sustained pattern of late, incomplete, or low-quality deliveries, or persistently low ratings;
- Verification or eligibility issues — a provider reports that a required driver license, insurance, identity, vehicle, or background-check requirement is no longer satisfied.
A failed or incomplete required provider verification may prevent you from going online or accepting new offers while the issue is resolved. Shipr does not ask you to upload substitute raw verification documents for internal approval; follow the applicable provider’s hosted remediation process.
3. Notice You Will Receive
Whenever we suspend or deactivate your account, we will tell you:
- The reason for the action;
- The effective date of the suspension or deactivation; and
- How to appeal the decision, including the deadline to do so.
We provide this notice through the Platform and, where appropriate, by email, so that you have a clear record of what happened and what you can do next.
4. How to Appeal
If you believe a suspension or deactivation was made in error, you may appeal. Submit your appeal within fourteen (14) days of the date of the notice, either through the Platform or by contacting support@shiprsolutions.com. Tell us what you believe was mistaken and include any context or evidence that supports your case.
Shipr support reviews each appeal and will issue a final decision within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 14 days. We may ask you for additional information while we review.
Your appeal is reviewed by a person other than any automated system or the reviewer that triggered the original action. This independent review helps ensure the decision is reconsidered with fresh eyes.
Every change to your account state — including who made it, when it occurred, the reason, and the evidence reviewed — is logged. This audit trail lets us explain any decision and ensures deactivations are not opaque.
5. Immediate Suspension for Severe Risk
When a situation presents a severe or immediate risk — for example, a serious safety concern, suspected fraud, or theft — we may suspend your access right away, before completing our review, to protect Drivers, Shippers, recipients, and the public.
In that case, the notice described in Section 3 (the reason, effective date, and how to appeal) follows promptly, and your appeal rights under Section 4 are fully preserved. An immediate suspension is a precaution, not a final decision.
6. Driver Account States
To make the process predictable, your account moves between a small number of clearly defined states. The table below describes each state and what can happen next.
| State | What it means | What can happen next |
|---|---|---|
| Active | You are in good standing and can go on duty, receive offers, and complete deliveries. | Stays active unless a ground in Section 2 applies, which can move you to suspended. |
| Suspended | Your access is temporarily paused while we review an issue; you cannot accept new offers. | Reinstated to active, moved to pending appeal once you submit a timely appeal, or deactivated. |
| Pending appeal | You have submitted a timely appeal and a reviewer is considering your case. | Reinstated to active if the appeal succeeds, or deactivated if it does not. |
| Deactivated | Your access to the Platform has ended. | A final state, subject to the appeal rights described in this Policy. |
Being reinstated simply means returning to the active state — for example, after a provider verification issue is resolved, after a suspension is lifted, or after a successful appeal.
